Katherine Gets To Ride!

When Katherine went to see the girls at their last day of Horse camp, she got a treat! She was given a ride on the pony named Popcorn!

Matthew Has Been Delayed

Due to weather, Matthew's scheduled flight from Albequerque to Dallas/Ft. Worth was delayed and then canceled.

Star-Telegram | 07/08/2005 | Storms rake area: "Storms rake area

Fierce thunderstorms break dry spell, bring high water, outages and a respite from heat

By Domingo Ramirez Jr.

Star-Telegram Staff Writer

The dry spell in North Texas was all wet Thursday.

A line of thunderstorms pounded the area with heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds, and brought lower temperatures."

They eventually made it to Dallas and got a hotel room at 2am. They HOPE to arrive in Raleigh tonight at 11:30! What a way to end a trip!!

A Week of Horse Camp

Kimberly and Rebekah have been going to one camp or another for their third week! This week it is horse camp and they are earning the Horse Rider badge (Rebekah) and Horse Sense (Kimberly). Their GS troops certainly are active! In fact, they are having a garage sale fundraiser on the 23rd!

Only Child and Loving It!

Matthew left for his long awaited trip to Philmont on June 24th. Then Kimberly and Rebekah left for GS camp. That left Katherine home alone as the only child. She was pleasantly surprised at how much fun she had! We think she liked getting to choose her lunch, her movie, her kool-aid flavor, etc without the "hassle" of common consent! However, when asked if we should get rid of the others more often, she said, quite vehemently "NO!" The girls got home today and Matthew will be gone until July 8th.

High Five For Kimberly!

Kimberly was chosen for the Sanford All Star team as a first baseman. We are very proud of her accomplishment! However, we are even prouder of her devotion to her standards. She found that the All Star team played games on Sunday and determined immediately that she would prefer not to play. We are very proud of our daughter on all accounts!
