Rebekah Turns 15

Rebekah turned 15 and received the Christus Award for seminary. This means that she learned all 100 scripture masteries in one year! We are very proud of her for getting up every morning to do this and making the commitment to learn all 100.

For her birthday, she went with me (mom) to see the National Tour of Wicked at the Durham Performing Arts Center. It was an amazing show. Then on her actual birthday, she got a card game from Katherine and a Taylor Swift CD from Kimberly. She also got a strawberry daquari - virgin of course - and was nice enough to share with her sisters. For her cake, she got a cheesecake swirl brownie.

Kimberly turned 18

Kimberly has had a big couple of months. She turned 18 in April, got her Personal Progress Award, Graduated seminary, and got a summer camp job! Her big birthday gift was a camera and a necklace. The girls got her PJ pants and a shirt. She had strawberry pie as her "cake".

We are very proud of her seminary graduation. Going to class at 6:30 am for 4 years is really an accomplishment. This year, she even won the Christus Award - a special award from our stake for learning all 100 scripture masteries in one year!

Her final project for her personal progress was to make a quilt. She had to put in at least 10 hours but probably put in closer to 50! The finished product was well worth it.

And finally, Kimberly will be a camp counselor for Camp Graham GS camp from June 1 to Aug 1. She is very excited to be at camp and is looking forward to her summer.

Katherine turned 12

Katherine turned twelve and moved into Young Women's at church. She is loving it and can't wait to go to YW camp later this month. For her birthday she got Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader for the Wii from Kimberly and Rebekah, and a pair of capris and some lanyard from Keith and I. We also fixed up the tree house out back.
