Want to buy some blueberries?

Katherine is selling blueberries for her 4H. They are $6 per plant in a gallon container. They have been grown at a nursery and are healthy plants. Here is the information given about the plants:

Blueberry Bushes

It is recommended t hat more than one variety be planted. This creates cross pollination to ensure maximum yield and an extended harvesting period. These three-year old plants are sold in 1 gallon containers. All varieties are Rabbiteye type and are hardy in Zones 6-9.

Price: $6 each

Varieties:

Brightwell: Early to mid-season ripening.
Medium-large light blue berry, sweet flavor
Upright, vigorous growth, consistent producer

Climax: Early ripening
Medium size berries; sweet flavor
Upright growth with intense green foilage
One of the very best for harvesting

Columbus: Early to mid season ripening
Excellent fruit size; good color
Good yields
Needs a pollinator

Powder Blue: Late season ripening
Medium to large size fruit, darker blue in color; sweet taste
Upright highly productive plant; good foilage

Premier: early to mid season ripening
large, light blue, good quality fruit; excellent flavor
highly productive, upright growth, good foilage

Tifblue: mid season ripening
medium to large light blue, good quality berries
vigorous upright plants hold up well until last berries are harvested
triblue rates as teh best ornamental for fall leaf color


Katherine also has bluebird houses for sale. These house are front opening. Each house has a metal mounting bracker, allowing easy mounting on 1" metal pipe, tree, or post. Price: $25 each
